This photo makes me feel like I’m looking at that window through an ephemeral portal from another time, looking to this one particular spot, because here and only here, lies something really important that I once missed, and now have the chance to find…
Michael! What a stunnung and poetic response! Thank you for lifting me up. Also, thank you for reminding me of something about photography I seem to forget. I look at light and color when I am shooting. I look for beautiful moments that catch my breath enough to make me pull the car over, but I seem to forget about the “feeling factor.” In essence, what am I trying to encourage the viewer to feel or think? What do I want them to walk away with when they are done looking? I do this more thoughtfully with my writing …. but it lacks purpose in my art and photography. Thank you!
