One Single Light Bulb. One Big Mess.

So now I stand here, one single light bulb swinging from the rafters –

casts animated shadows

on a stark and grungy backdrop.

I look at the pile.  Look up and down –

its massive presence causing me to feel

like a shred of tobacco in a carton of cigarettes.

I don’t know where to start, and I laugh.  This all seems like –

a nauseating and perverse game of Jenga.

Except playing against yourself is never very fun.

it all feels like, loneliness, desperation, compulsion and fatigue.

Especially when the stack crashes,

and you are the only one around to pick up the pieces .
